Statement from the artist:
"Dominant Myths is a series of paintings on paper I started in 2021. Utilizing a wax resist and a busted airbrush, I found that I could build fairly complex landscapes in only a few moves. The processes convey transparency while contrasting fluid and rigid fields of line work. It feels a bit like working in the dark. Building structures out of invisible marks, then implementing mists of paint, flooding the structures with textures to create vignettes of strange terrains to mentally traverse."
